I started reading the book Kushiel's Dart again. It's such an awesome book and series! I :heart: it!!

So, I've been wanting to do a fanart for it... but I don't want to completely suck at it and ruin it... so maybe I'll try actually DRAWing something later.

I saw that pic of Jessica Alba and it like, reminded me of Phèdre :nod: probably because of the pose and because her back is exposed... And I don't really picture Phèdre /exactly/ like that, it's close-ish. Close enough. :giggle:

So, yeah. The tattoo took forever! gah!! First I was going to draw it on, then I gave up on that and scanned in the cover of my book and played around with it until I got it like that. That still took forever because there's a curve to her back and the picture on the book so isn't curved... my poor hand went numb several times.

And then I decided to add more pictures! YAY!! Heheheh, ok, so the choker with Melisande's diamond on it sucks... because I just painted that in... but eh :shrug: I'm happy with the way the tattoo and the red dots on the eyes look... YAY!

Looks fantastic! At fist I thought (because I don't know who the hell Jessica Alba is) that you'd drawn the tattoo on someone's back and taken a photograph! This is so excellent and looks very realistic. And that pose really is so Phedre.

:giggle: thank you! hehe, Jessica Alba is from the TV show Dark angel and, more recently, movies like Honey, Into the Blue, Sin City and The Fantastic Four, lol

You did an amazing job I actually thought the tatoo was supposed to be there. Without reading your caption no one would ever think it was placed on to the picture after the fact! Amazign job
